How to refer a child
We welcome enquiries about our services and potential placements for children and young people. We understand that local authorities often explore a number of options before making a decision on the most appropriate placement.

We assist in the completion of the risk assessment and referral forms before confirming placement.

Arrangements are made to ensure the child’s arrival at our service is fully planned and managed.

We are happy to discuss services, placements and what we can offer. Social workers and other professionals are always welcome to arrange a visit to our services and our meet managers and care staff.
We always have a service or senior manager available to discuss referrals and placements. When discussing the referral sharing full details and information is critical to making sure we offer a safe and appropriate placement. It is helpful if the referrer can provide background reports as well as current information.
Once an appropriate placement is identified, we will ask the referrer to complete an initial risk assessment and a referral form. We can assist in completion of these documents. When the placement has been agreed, support and arrangements for the child's arrival in the placement can be organised.
