At Care Visions Fostering, we pride ourselves on providing high levels of effective support and comprehensive training for our carers. This approach has shown improved results and outcomes for the children and young people in our care. We take the views of foster carers very seriously and you will be involved and informed about service developments. Our friendly, enthusiastic and dynamic team work hard to provide you all the skills and support you need; from helping to arrange therapists, counsellors or children’s support workers (as part of the care planning arrangements for the child) to being there for a chat when you need it. Whether you are new to fostering or an experienced foster carer, Care Visions Fostering meet your needs by providing:
Training
Ongoing and regular training on all skills you will require
We encourage continual personal development and advise on external training opportunities
Support
Access to 24/7 support service from our team of skilled social workers
Every foster carer is allocated their own Care Visions Fostering Services social worker who will make regular visits and provide you individual supervision, advice and guidance
Foster children are allocated their own support worker who works in partnership with the carers and other professionals
Regular foster carers support group meetings
‘Buddying Scheme’ - mentoring of new carers by experienced carers
