CareVisions began life in 1998 as a four bedded house situated in a village in Dumfries and Galloway. At the time the company was known as Orca House and was run by a small staff team of six. CareVisions came into being because it was recognised that good quality childcare resources were needed to help support young people who were at risk, to reach their full potential.
Many young people were experiencing placement breakdowns and often ended up escalating through the system due to the lack of appropriate resources and supports. As a highly experienced, qualified and skilled staff team we provided exceptionally good care in a way which achieved tangible and often dramatic results. Our dream was to create the perfect children’s resource specialising in person centred individual care. Our strength came from our creativity in understanding and meeting the child’s needs and our strong motivation to do our very best for each child we looked after.
Our reputation quickly spread, and demand for the service we provided increased to the point where we needed to expand. Consequently, we now operate a number of houses in Dumfries and Galloway and since 2003 have developed a similar range of services across the Central Belt. As new services open, our staff team and support structures also grow to enable us to replicate the high quality care already established from the outset.
Many of the original staff are still involved with CareVisions and we now have a range of services across these two geographical areas. Our pride comes from knowing that the quality of the original remains the same and we are building on our proven success to provide solutions for children across the country.
